How are Bayan Blue's US Dollar and Euro rates calculated?
Bayan Blue holidays are priced in Sterling (UK £). Dollar and Euro rates for our holidays are calculated using the exchange rate our bank applies, along with
banking fees we incur when accepting foreign-currency cheques.
At the time of writing (August '08) we only run sterling bank accounts. Final payment for the holiday
will reflect current exchange rates and banking charges. Our foreign currency price lists are intended to assist our overseas clients, rather than provide
a definitive price in a foreign currency.
The following are included in the prices above:
- Exclusive use of the yacht from 1800 on the day of arrival until 0900 on the day of departure
|
more

What time can I board the yacht?
Our booking information states that boarding time is 1800 on the day of arrival.
This is to enable us to clean and provision after the previous charter.
In practice the yacht is usually ready by mid-afternoon.
What time must I leave the yacht on the last day?
Unless arranged otherwise, guests depart at 0900 on Sunday morning.
Yachts are complex machines and check-out at 0900 allows the crew to clean, prepare and maintain the yacht ready for the new guests. Most airport transfers
start between 9am and 11am (depending on flight times), so guests can jump straight into a taxi,
or spend an hour or so relaxing with a drink before travelling.
- Accommodation aboard the yacht for the specified number of guests in double en-suite cabins
- The services of the Skipper and Chef/First Mate for the duration of the holiday
- Half-board meals (breakfast and lunch) and one evening barbeque; all non-alcoholic drinks
- Diesel for motoring.
- All bed linen, bath, beach and hand towels
|
more

Do we need to bring beach towels?
We provide all interior linen, including bath, beach and hand towels, so you'll only need to bring your own if you have a personal favourite.
- Use of the equipment and toys on board.
- Bonding of the holiday

Total Payment Protection (topp) Policy cover:
In compliance with the UK Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package
Tours Regulations 1992 an insurance policy has been arranged with
Travel & General Insurance Company plc to protect customers’
prepayments paid in respect of
• non-flight inclusive packages commencing and returning to
the UK
• the ground handling aspects of packages where the customer
is responsible for arranging travel to the destination
offered on this website (subject to the terms of the insurance policy), for:
• a refund of such prepayments if customers have not yet travelled
• making arrangements to enable the holiday to continue if customers
have already travelled
in the unlikely event of our financial failure. |
Our policy number is BBLI/topp/08/02.
For more information of Total Payment Protection (topp), please visit
www.travel-general.com, or call them on 0845 3456 078.
- Gas, water and shoreside electricity (where available) as required
- Petrol for the dinghy
- VAT where applicable
The following are not included in the prices above:
- Mooring fees due in ports, except in the home port
|
more

How much will mooring fees cost?
Mooring fees in Greece are very low - if we moor up in a village it will generally be free of charge,
very occasionally there may be a fee of around £10 per night.
There are very few marinas in the Ionian; if we do visit one, there is a charge of around £30 per night,
but this does entitle you to water, power and the use of all the marina facilities.
- Alcoholic drinks: we carry a wide range of beers, wine, spirits and champagne on board. These are charged locally.
- Evening meals ashore (except for a barbeque on board one evening)
|
more

How much will dining out cost me?
As a rough guide, dining out in Greece will cost around £15pp for two courses and local wine in a village taverna.
Ordering seafood and imported wines will increase the cost of a meal.
- Personal travel insurance (the yacht and business are fully insured).
- Flights and transfers
- Generator running, charged at €3.80/hour
|
more

Why is generator running charged seperately?
The generator is available during the daytime to provide mains power while away from a shore connection.
Generator use varies widely with different guests, and so we pass on the direct cost of running it. We hope this will avoid
having to impose a flat-rate fuel surcharge to all our holidays due to the rising cost of fuel.
- Any optional excursions - for example, a diving trip
- Any telecom costs incurred while onboard (use of onboard internet connection)
