Dave Smith

Four years ago Dave decided to give up a career in electrical engineering to make a living from his passion for sailing. Since then, he has spent his summers guiding flotillas around the Greek Ionian and his winters running top class ski chalets. With eight seasons of customer service under his belt, his guests are guaranteed a great holiday.

As a yacht owner himself, Dave has accumulated many sea miles, including two Biscay crossings. Whilst working on flotilla around the Greek Ionian, Dave gained extensive experience sail training, and is happy to share his knowledge with guests keen to learn the ropes.

Dave is an RYA Ocean Yachtmaster as well as an experienced marine engineer. In his spare time he enjoys windsurfing, dinghy sailing and skiing.

Nicky

Leaving her office job for a life of sea and ski, Nicky has worked in the tourist industry for four years. Working as a private chef in a small independent ski chalet, as well as providing catering training for some of the bigger ski companies has honed her culinary skills.

After a couple of summers as a flotilla hostess and sail trainer, Nicky has warm-water experience to add to her UK sailing adventures. Joining Bayan Blue has enabled Nicky to combine her love of sailing with her expertise in cooking and customer service.

It has to be a good sign that Nicky lists her hobbies as sailing, skiing and cooking! When she does get some time off, she also enjoys walking, travelling and keeping fit.
