Nick & Hannah: Owners of Bayan Blue

Growing up in Devon, Nick has sailed from a young age. He spent 4 years in the landlocked Midlands, studying for a Masters in Physics at the University of Warwick. After graduating he worked in the sound and lighting industry, before returning to the sea.
Nick has worked for some of the market leaders in the yacht charter industry in Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Italy, France and the Caribbean. He is an RYA/MCA commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore.
After a season working on super yachts as an engineer, he decided to return to sailing and became a co-founder of Bayan Blue.
Despite spending most of his time in the office these days Nick still enjoys getting out on the water. Our skippers often call on him to help out on the winches for the regatta and when he can escape from his computer Nick is also a fanatical windsurfer.
Nick authored and maintains, the bayanblue.com website.

Hannah grew up near Worcester, before moving West to study for a degree in Business Management at the University of Wales, Cardiff. She took up sailing after graduating from university, when she was invited to go on a sailing holiday in Greece.
Since that holiday Hannah has been doing her best to make up for lost time and in the next few years she worked in Greece, Croatia, Italy and the South of France. She set out as a flotilla hostess for a large yacht charter company, before moving on to be a stewardess and then chef on a super yacht. In 2005 Hannah moved back to Greece to put those experiences to good use setting up Bayan Blue.
Cooking has always been a passion for Hannah and she has attended The Grange School of Cookery in Somerset. Although Hannah too has made the move back to life on shore, she still enjoys working with our chefs developing new recipes, especially any tasting sessions!
